Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 1, 2026

Welcome to Thank You Cards Canada (accessible at thankyoucards.ca). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, customer accounts, and custom direct-mail stationery fulfillment services.

By visiting our website, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

1. Overview of Services

Thank You Cards Canada provides an e-commerce platform where individuals, real estate professionals, financial firms, and corporate clients can order customized greeting cards, client appreciation stationery, and desk multi-packs.

Our services include:

Printing customized typed or formatted messages inside cards.

Applying uploaded corporate branding or brokerage logos.

Addressing envelopes directly to designated client recipients or delivering orders in bulk to your office.

Applying postage and dispatching individual cards through Canada Post.

2. Accounts & User Responsibilities

To access features such as saved business logos, past order invoices, and quick checkout, you may create a customer account.

Account Accuracy: You agree to provide true, accurate, and current information during registration and checkout.

Credential Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and are solely responsible for any activity conducted through your account.

Unauthorized Access: You must notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Custom Content, Branding & Artwork

When using our customization features, you may submit text messages and upload digital artwork (such as company or brokerage logos):

Intellectual Property Rights: You represent and warrant that you own or possess all necessary licenses, rights, and permissions to use and reproduce any trademark, brokerage logo, trade name, or artwork you submit or store in your profile.

License to Produce: By submitting text, logos, and artwork, you grant Thank You Cards Canada a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce, format, and print the materials solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order.

Prohibited Content: We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order containing text or imagery that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, fraudulent, discriminatory, or infringing upon third-party intellectual property rights.

4. Recipient Addressing & Proofing Responsibility

Because customized stationery is prepared and addressed according to your exact order input:

Customer Proofing Responsibility: You are solely responsible for reviewing all personalized interior messages, sender names, and recipient mailing addresses before placing an order.

Address Accuracy: We format envelopes using the recipient address fields provided at checkout. We are not responsible for delivery delays, non-delivery, or cards returned by Canada Post due to incomplete street numbers, incorrect postal codes, or recipient spelling errors submitted by the customer.

Confidentiality: We handle recipient mailing data under strict business confidentiality and solely for the operational fulfillment of your cards.

5. Pricing, Postage & Payment

Currency: All prices quoted on our website are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and exclude applicable provincial and federal sales taxes (GST/HST/PST), which are calculated at checkout based on your billing address.

Pricing Structure: Single direct-mail cards are priced at $10.00 for the first recipient and $5.00 for each additional recipient included in the same order line item, unless stated otherwise on promotional listings or bulk desk packs.

Complimentary Postage: Stated card prices include standard Canadian letter-mail envelope addressing, postage, and Canada Post direct dispatch across Canada.

Payment Processing: Online transactions are processed securely through Stripe, Inc. By completing an order, you authorize Stripe to charge your designated payment method for the full order amount. We do not store or capture full credit card numbers on our servers.

6. Production, Scheduling & Delivery

Fulfillment Timelines: Unless a future dispatch date is selected via our scheduling calendar, orders typically process and dispatch within 1 to 2 business days.

Scheduled Dispatches: When you select a specific target delivery or closing date, our production team schedules envelope dispatch through Canada Post 3 to 4 business days in advance of that date.

Postal Carrier Transit: Physical delivery is handled exclusively by Canada Post via standard letter mail. While we guarantee timely handover to the postal service, delivery transit windows are subject to Canada Post operational schedules, regional weather delays, and statutory holidays. We cannot guarantee delivery on an exact day once mail has been tendered to Canada Post.

7. Cancellations, Returns & Refunds

Custom Stationery Cancellation Window: Due to the personalized and printed-on-demand nature of our products, orders enter production rapidly. You may request cancellation or edits only prior to physical printing. Once a card is printed, addressed, or stamped, the order cannot be canceled, refunded, or altered.

Production Errors: If your card arrives damaged or contains a printing defect caused directly by our equipment (e.g., misaligned logo printing or machine ink smudges), please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the issue. We will reprint and reship the card free of charge or issue a store credit.

Customer-Entered Typos: We do not offer refunds or complimentary re-mailings for typographical errors, misspelled names, or address errors entered by the buyer during checkout.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Canadian law:

Thank You Cards Canada, its directors, and fulfillment partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our website, delayed postal deliveries, lost business opportunities, or client relationships.

In no event shall our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from an order exceed the total purchase amount actually paid by you for that specific order.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and any disputes arising out of or related to our services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

10. Modifications to These Terms

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms at any time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory adjustments. Any revisions will be published directly on this page with the updated "Last Updated" timestamp at the top. Your continued use of the website following any posted modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
